In 2012, a group of Mannix Old Coll's were keen to get back on the cricket field after several years out of the game. The team got in touch with a local cricket club, the Monash Uni Gryphons, who decided to house the team under the banner and administration of the club.

In their innaugural season, the MOCA Gryphons, which filtered through a large squad of both Old Coll's and current Mannix residents (from wide-ranging levels of skill and experience), took out the Fischer Shield premiership.

In the 2012-2013 season, the team was entered in the SDCCL One Day Synthetic competition. In the 2013-2014, the team is looking to enter in the MCA turf competition.

Following a large amount of interest from both Old Coll's and current Mannix residents, MOCA Cricket hopes to enter two-to-three teams over the coming seasons in different competitions, catering for a wide-range of cricket skills.
